Maxine Firmston and Rod Kause from our safety team and Laurence Zilkie from our north transmission lines team joined AltaLink President and CEO, Scott Thon, at the CEA’s annual Awards Reception on November 7.
It is the second year in a row AltaLink has received this award, and to say we’re proud is an understatement.
“There is nothing more important to AltaLink than the safety of our employees,” said Scott Thon, President and CEO. “Our team has built a culture on the principle of taking care of each other in the field and in the office. I’m incredibly proud of every AltaLinker who has helped to make our company a safe place to work.”
The President’s Award for Safety Excellence is given to corporate utilities that achieve the top ranking in Total Recordable Injury Frequency (TRIF) among utilities of comparable size in generation, transmission, or distribution operations. AltaLink won the award for transmission companies with 501-1000 full-time employees.
