To accommodate Qualico’s planned Southbow Landing development, AltaLink is
proposing to relocate a portion of an existing 138 kilovolt (kV) transmission line
called 860L. The project is located in south Cochrane, near Highway 22 and James
Walker Trail.

As part of this project, AltaLink is proposing changes to the 860L transmission line,
including:

• removing and salvaging approximately 1.9 kilometres of existing transmission
  line

• relocating approximately 2.4 kilometres of the existing transmission line along
  a different proposed route
