To connect EPCOR’s City of Edmonton Transmission Reinforcement project to the grid, AltaLink is proposing changes to our transmission system. The project is located in northeast Edmonton near the North Saskatchewan River.

As part of this project, AltaLink is proposing two changes to accommodate the connection of EPCOR’s project to the electricity grid, including:

• installing new steel monopole structures on the existing 915L transmission line at one of two potential locations

• installing up to 2.5 kilometres of optical grounding wire (OPGW) between the proposed structure and EPCOR’s existing Clover Bar Substation
